This specialized workshop is designed for VMware administrators interested in KubeVirt as a potential alternative to their existing VMware infrastructure. It's perfect for those curious about KubeVirt's ability to manage virtual machines within Kubernetes environments, especially if you're new to the concept or uncertain about its capabilities for handling production virtualized workloads.

During this session, we will dive into various KubeVirt use cases, guide you through installation, and demonstrate how to run VMs using KubeVirt and Kubernetes. We aim to equip you with a comprehensive understanding of how KubeVirt can be utilized to replace VMware.

20 mins: Installation - Configuring servers, P9 host agent, authorizing servers
20 mins: Create Kubernetes Cluster via Platform9, bringing servers under management
15 mins: Kubernetes Operations, Add-Ons, Observability, & Upgrades
20 mins: Enable KubeVirt and configure advanced networking
15 mins: Deploy Basic VM with UI
10 mins: Overflow

Day 2 Schedule - March 28, 2024 at 9 AM PST

20 mins: Configuring block storage, storage classes, and backup options
40 mins: Deploy VMs (Basic & Advanced)
15 mins: VM live migration, HA
15 mins: VM Operations (Resizing, console access, networking, & power management)
